Workflow process

Editorial Workflow in ALUMNI. IN BOOKS – Stages:

Submission:

  • The author or editor submits the manuscript via the platform.

  • Metadata is filled in (title, authors, abstract, etc.).

  • Upload of main files.

Receipt:

  • The editor receives the submission and checks its compliance with editorial policy.

  • The submission can be accepted, rejected, or returned for adjustments before review.

Peer Review:

  • The editor forwards the manuscript to reviewers.

  • Review types: double-blind, single-blind, or open.

  • Multiple rounds of review may occur.

  • The editor makes a decision based on the reviews: accept, reject, or request revisions.

Copyediting:

  • The accepted manuscript is prepared for publication.

  • External steps like formatting, proofreading, and layout take place here.

  • Files are uploaded with version control.

Publication:

  • Upload of the final version in the desired formats (PDF, ePUB, etc.).

  • Addition of cover, ISBN, DOI, and other metadata.

  • The book is added to the publisher’s catalog in ALUMNI. IN BOOKS.
